I have been busy!

I have been busy over the last few days  and produced lots of cards.  Not like me at all I have to say as I spend more time on the internet browsing than I do ‘making’.  Anyway these are some of the cards I have made.

Lili Of The Valley Square Toppers

I took a look around the Lily Of The Valley Outlet Shop on e.aby and wouldn’t you know it, there were lots I wanted!  Anyway I restrained myself (kinda!) and below are the results of the first cards made with them.

This in an Engagement card.  Requested by one of my colleagues, it also had to be a money envelope. I think it worked quite well.

This one is a Wedding card, double twisted easel.  Another colleague seen a twin card that I made and asked for it as a wedding card.

I had a request for a money wallet to match this card, so had to have a go! They seemed to go down well.

Playing with my Cuttlebug

Afternoon Folks
I have finally managed to get to play with my new Cuttlebug.
I made a hanging card for my friends new Grandson.  As I am hosting the Forever Friends Challenged over on Docrafts forum I doubled it up with that.  It might be a bit early for Christmas cards, but you got to start some time.  Anyone interested in joining in the FF challenge can do so here
Hope you like it.

Made my first Boo Boo

Morning Folks!
As you can see I got my Cuttlebug !
Out it came from the box, carefully (I am a bit accident prone!)
Placed it gently on the table and read the instructions.
Of course the first sandwich I tried wouldn’t quite work

-  - Oh the horror if I had broken it on the first try – Gulp! Soooooooo I changed the top plate for the C plate and yip, you guessed it I now have a perfect scalloped oval shape cut into the C plate.  This was the thing that RedRottie had warned me about over on the DoCrafts site.  I sooo wish I had re-read her advice before I blundered in.

Watch this space for my first efforts.

My wait if over!

My Cuttlebug has finally arrived.  I have opened the box and stroked it, but don't have time yet to play with it. I HATE THURSDAYS.  Maybe tomorrow (she says wistfully!)

Ooops! I forgot to put in a link to the challenge and as I have no idea how to edit my original post I have to make a new one sooooooooo here is the link.

Thank to Karen at I Love Promarkers Blog challenge, for all her help.

Wouldn't you know it!

I made a hash of adding the card to the blog.
Off to bed now before I make it any worse.  Have e.mailed those concerned to apologise and hope they can help me sort it out.

First Blog Challenge Entry - I love Promarkers

Was going to say evening folks, but here it's actually good morning.
I have decided to enter my first blog challenge over on I Love Promarkers Challenge - Things with wings
I have altered a note book that I bought today from T K Maxx.
The image is one from the Mo Manning Digi site.
On the wings and the feather duster there is a bit of glamour dust.
The paper is a random piece from the botton of my paper drawer and the flower is make of paper flowers and a sticky flower - I remember not where I got it from, but it MIGHT be from Papermania!

Hope I am doing this right!
Elaine

Promarkers used
Skin - Ivory, blush, vanilla and baby pink
Dress/apron/feather duster - pastel green & a little bit of turquoise
Duster - baby pink and rose pink
Hair - vanilla and cinnamon

Evening folks

Think it will have to wait until tomorrow.!
Hopefully, as I am on hols I should get the time to sort it then

Easter Basket

I have another craft class to tutor on Tuesday and thought I would make something for Easter with them.  So I have scoured the internet and come up with this little project at http://www.allfreecrafts.com/easter/paper-basket.shtml

I have made one up to see how it will look.  I used my stamp pads to colour (for the first time) and was quite pleased with the result.

It was acutally quite easy and the learners can decorate as they wish.  I liked how the flowers turned out.  They were punched out as where the leaves.

Forever Friends Challenge for Do Crafts

Morning Folks

By default I have wound up the host for the next challenge over on DC.  I thought we should go 'Over the Top' for this one. The resulting card has a lot going on in just a little space, but well, I have made worse!

Hope you like.

If you would like to take part just pop over to http://www.docrafts.com/ and sign up.  There is even a small prize for this one.

Really Fed up tonight!

Hi Folks

I have managed to make one card today that comes from the Clip Art Fairy. An eightieth birthday card for a lady.  Not too sure that the person who ordered it will acutally like it, but well I am having one of those days. I am really fed up, don't know what's wrong with me.

This is just printed onto normal paper and I have added loads of crystal glamour dust, which I just love!, together with a few little gems.  Simple but I hope effective?

Do Crafts 5th Anniversary
This week was the 5th anniversary of the first gallery entry on the DC website.  The card below was entered into a really great challenge, where you had to use things that were available 5 years ago.  It might look quite simple but it still took me ages to work out what to use and where to use things.  In the end it was just peel offs and papers that was used, but I thought it was quite pretty.

Forever Friends Challenge

Evening Folks
Just deciding what to do for my next card so though I would make a post here and add the card I made for the FF challenge which I am hosting over on www.docrafts.com.
This was the second one I did and I am still not happy with it!  I have so many other cards to make I can't mess about with it any longer.  So here it is.
I liked each of the individual parts of the card.   I love the gingham,  I like the image and the other bits but don't think it all goes together.   I was really pleased with the way the flowers look but think maybe I should have tried them on a different style of card.  Hay Ho, you can't get it right all the time!
Hope you have all had a great Sunday.  See you next time.

Don't know what's come over me today

Two posts in two days.  Totally unheard of!
Just thought I would stop buy just to make sure I am still talking to myself and to remind all you invisibles that I have a challenge going over on do crafts.

I will post a copy of my card here as soon as I get it ready.  I'm away to get a card done for my O/H it is afterall, Valentines day tomorrow.  What kind of crafter doesn't make a card for her O/H at Valentines?

See you soon

Not doing very well with my New Year Resolution

So much for my New Year Resolution!   On the third of January I posted that I was going to make an effort to update my blog more often. It's now the 12 February and this is my first visit since then.  My excuse?  I have had a lot going on at work and home and as this blogging thingy isn't quite second nature yet, it still feels a bit like a chore.  Once I get more familiar with how it all works I am sure I will be visitng more often.

I have been working on colouring stamped images over the past few weeks.  Although I can see a bit of progress I can't seem to get skin tones that I am happy with.  What do you think?  Anyhow I am away for a while to work on a challenge on DC site.  I will be hosting the FF challenge from tomorrow so if you can join us, please drop by.

I Must Do Better!!

Been a bit remiss with this blog.  I haven't been here for months, but that is all going to change now that we are in 2011.  My New Year resolution (one of them anyway) is that I will keep this blog updated.

I am the first host of 2011 for the Forever Friends Challange over on http://www.docrafs.com/.  Do feel free to come over and join in.  Most of my stash has been put away for Christmas and is still there so my effort is not as I would like it to be.  Then again they very rarely are.  They can always be improved, at least in my mind.

http://www.docrafts.com/project

This is just a pop in and I will be back with the images.  (once I remember how to add them to the blog)

HAPPY NEW YEAR
