A BIT OF A DEPARTURE

Howdy Folks,
Week two of my New Year Resolution to keep this blog up to date.  So here goes.
I was messing about with my Promarkers intending to enter The I Love Promarkers challenge for this week, but I just couldn’t fit any buttons or lace on my card, which were this weeks requirements.  I did however, manage to meet the Criteria of The Paper Shelter Challenge Here  So I will be entering this card in Challenge No 45 – Anything Goes.  The image I have used is Rapunzel from The Paper Shelter Here.  The thing I like about this site is that you also get a coloured image as well, for those really quick cards that we all need from time to time.
I have had a bash at using a blending tool on the base card and it looks a bit different from the cards that I normally produce, but I am quite pleased (and surprised) with the outcome.  Hope you like it too.

Promises Kept!

Well, as promised, here I am attending to my blog.

I had some inspiration in the form of a post by RedRottie on the Do Crafts site. She has created a system for those (like me) suffering from a severe lack of Mojo.
Following her instruction I had the following criteria:

Colour: Purple
Shape: Circle
Image: Human
Technique: Embossing
Embellishments: Glitter
Theme: Thank You

Together with this I have decided to enter this item in the I Love Promarkers Challenge - "Anything Goes"

Promarkers used:-
Face: Ivory, Blush Vanilla and Pink (any pink will do – I suppose!)
Dress:  Ivory, Lavender, Orchid Amethyst, Lilac
Tights: Ivory, Lilac
Hair: Ivory, Caramel, Vanilla
(Some day you might even be able to see a difference between face and hair – but for now I will have to keep working on it!)

I have used Nestabilities for the shapes cut and the font on the

Thank You’ is Before The Rain
Oh, and the image is Mo Manning from Digital Pencil Too

Apologies and Promises

Evening Everyone (anyone?)

Been a while since I have stopped by my own blog!  Apologies for my absence, but we have had a berevement in the family which has kinda taken over my life for a while.  With that and then the festive period it has been fairly hectic.  So that's my apology, now for the promise!  I intend to take part in more challenges this year, so I promise to try and keep on top of it all more effectively.

No cards for just now, just wishes for a Happy New Year and please (if there is anyone out there) stop by from time to time.

I have been busy!

I have been busy over the last few days  and produced lots of cards.  Not like me at all I have to say as I spend more time on the internet browsing than I do ‘making’.  Anyway these are some of the cards I have made.

Lili Of The Valley Square Toppers

I took a look around the Lily Of The Valley Outlet Shop on e.aby and wouldn’t you know it, there were lots I wanted!  Anyway I restrained myself (kinda!) and below are the results of the first cards made with them.

This in an Engagement card.  Requested by one of my colleagues, it also had to be a money envelope. I think it worked quite well.

This one is a Wedding card, double twisted easel.  Another colleague seen a twin card that I made and asked for it as a wedding card.

I had a request for a money wallet to match this card, so had to have a go! They seemed to go down well.

Playing with my Cuttlebug

Afternoon Folks
I have finally managed to get to play with my new Cuttlebug.
I made a hanging card for my friends new Grandson.  As I am hosting the Forever Friends Challenged over on Docrafts forum I doubled it up with that.  It might be a bit early for Christmas cards, but you got to start some time.  Anyone interested in joining in the FF challenge can do so here
Hope you like it.

Made my first Boo Boo

Morning Folks!
As you can see I got my Cuttlebug !
Out it came from the box, carefully (I am a bit accident prone!)
Placed it gently on the table and read the instructions.
Of course the first sandwich I tried wouldn’t quite work

-  - Oh the horror if I had broken it on the first try – Gulp! Soooooooo I changed the top plate for the C plate and yip, you guessed it I now have a perfect scalloped oval shape cut into the C plate.  This was the thing that RedRottie had warned me about over on the DoCrafts site.  I sooo wish I had re-read her advice before I blundered in.

Watch this space for my first efforts.
